Cossachok Logo

Opened in 1998 and is Scotland’s first and only authentic Russian Restaurant which represents people from former USSR in cooking, culture, and hospitality.

The cuisine’s allegiance to former Soviet Union culinary traditions is evident on the menu:
Borscht - Russian country soup, Golubtzi - Ukrainian stuffed cabbage, Chakhokhbili – Georgian spicy chicken, Musaka – Armenian vegetarian oven-baked dish, Tzimes – traditional Yiddish duck with apricots, carrots and dumplings, Plov – Uzbek lamb pilaf, Gouvetch – Moldavian vegetable ragout…

A cornucopia of Blinis – pancakes presented abundantly in traditional and all possible and impossible varieties.

Café Cossachok is a real paradise for the sweets connoisseur... Winnie the Pooh is no longer sought after by just little ones, here it arrives the con miel way as a delightful honey-pot containing vanilla ice cream and almonds glazed with honey. Spectacular mouthwatering and delicate home-made cakes Kutuzov, Napoleon, Alenoushka, Almonds are always on offer.

The striking quirky folk décor speaks for itself: red walls with original colourful paintings, handmade wooden furniture and Russian shawls covering the ceiling, producing an utterly unique, warm and vibrant atmosphere.

Live folk, jazz and world music played by outstanding musicians, makes Russian Café-Gallery Cossachok the place to be every Sunday evening.

Exhibitions by local and international artists are regularly featured in the malenky gallery to complete the picture.

Let’s raise a shot of chilled cranberry vodka or
a pint of Baltica and say '
NA ZDOROVIE’!
